Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you may request a refund for Syntra ODBC purchases. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record.

Effective date: April 16, 2026

1. Overview

Syntra ODBC is sold through Lemon Squeezy (operated by Lemon Squeezy LLC), who acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for all purchases. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, invoicing, and sales tax collection on behalf of Tradeline Consulting Inc. ("Tradeline", "we", "us", or "our"). Refund eligibility is determined by Tradeline under this policy, subject to the statutory rights described in Section 5.

If you purchased Syntra ODBC on or before April 16, 2026, your transaction was processed by Paddle.com and is governed by our previous Paddle-era Refund Policy, not this one.

2. Free Trial

Syntra ODBC offers a fully featured 30-day free trial. The trial unlocks every feature of the Pro tier, including MCP Server access, Terminal Server / RDS support, Windows Service mode, and unlimited QuickBooks company files. No credit card is required to start a trial.

Because the trial lets you fully evaluate the product before spending money, we do not offer refunds for reasons that the trial is designed to surface (compatibility, feature fit, performance on your hardware, etc.). We strongly recommend completing a successful trial installation before purchasing.

3. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests are considered only when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The request is submitted within 7 days of the original transaction date;
  • The license key issued for the purchase has not been activated on any machine;
  • The purchase was not made with a promotional credit, coupon, or bundled discount that states it is non-refundable;
  • No chargeback or payment dispute has been filed with your card issuer, bank, or other payment provider for the same transaction.

Once a license key has been activated on any installation, the purchase is considered consumed and is not refundable. This applies even within the 7-day window. The 30-day free trial exists precisely so you can confirm the product works in your environment before paying.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Outside of the statutory rights described in Section 5, refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • The license key has been activated on one or more machines;
  • More than 7 days have passed since the transaction date;
  • The request is based on a circumstance the free trial would have surfaced (compatibility with your QuickBooks edition, driver behavior on your hardware, feature fit);
  • The request is for an annual subscription term that has already begun, on a pro-rated basis (see Section 7);
  • There is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, repeated refund requests across multiple accounts, or other manipulative behaviour;
  • The purchase was made through a reseller or volume-licensing arrangement that has its own refund terms.

5. Country-Specific Statutory Rights

Where local consumer protection laws grant unconditional withdrawal or cancellation rights, those statutory rights apply and override the eligibility conditions in Section 3. Tradeline will honour these rights to the extent required by law:

  • European Union / EEA / Switzerland / United Kingdom: Consumers (natural persons acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, or profession) have the right to withdraw from a digital-content purchase for any reason within 14 days. This right is lost if, during that 14-day period, you expressly consented to immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledged that you would thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and the content has begun to be supplied. Syntra ODBC is supplied immediately upon purchase, and the checkout flow obtains this consent.
  • Turkey / Israel: Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital product, subject to the same immediate-supply limitation above.
  • South Korea / Brazil / China / Canada: Consumers have a 7-day cancellation right for distance-sold digital goods, subject to applicable local restrictions on activated or downloaded software.
  • Singapore: Consumers have a 5-day cancellation right under local distance-selling rules.

Statutory rights apply only to natural persons purchasing as consumers. Business purchases do not qualify for consumer withdrawal rights in most jurisdictions.

6. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests are reviewed manually by Tradeline. Self-service refunds through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal are not enabled.

To request a refund, email [email protected] from the email address used for the purchase, and include:

  • The Lemon Squeezy order number from your receipt;
  • The transaction date and amount;
  • The reason for the request;
  • Confirmation that the license key has not been activated on any machine (if applicable).

We will respond within 5 business days with a decision. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically clear within 10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank. Refund decisions outside of statutory rights are made at Tradeline's sole discretion, applying this policy in good faith.

7. Subscription Cancellations

If Syntra ODBC is sold to you on a subscription basis, you may cancel at any time to stop future billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. No partial or pro-rated refund is issued for the unused portion of the current term.

You can cancel by using the "Manage subscription" link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt, through the customer portal, or by emailing [email protected]. After cancellation, your license remains active until the end of the paid term.

8. Refunds for Material Defects

If Syntra ODBC is materially defective, does not substantially conform to the feature descriptions on this website, or cannot be made to work in an environment we claim to support, contact [email protected] with a detailed description of the issue, steps to reproduce, and the relevant diagnostic logs. We will attempt to resolve the issue first. Where a material defect cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, we will issue a refund notwithstanding the activation condition in Section 3. Disagreement about whether a defect is "material" is resolved at Tradeline's reasonable discretion.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or bank. We strongly prefer to resolve refund questions directly and will respond quickly to good-faith requests.

If a chargeback is filed while our refund review is ongoing, or without prior contact, your license will be suspended immediately and all active installations will be deactivated while the dispute is reviewed. We reserve the right to decline future sales to accounts with a history of chargebacks where a direct refund path was available and not used.

10. Effect of Refund

When a refund is approved, the associated license is revoked, all activations are deactivated on the next license check, and any unused subscription term ends. You must uninstall Syntra ODBC from all machines. Continuing to use Syntra ODBC after a refund is a breach of the End User License Agreement.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your transaction governs that transaction. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page. We recommend saving a copy of the policy that applied to your purchase for your records.

12. Contact

All refund requests are handled directly by Tradeline. Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, processes the payment reversal once we approve it.
